Exploring Syracuse

Syracuse University is located in the heart of the city of Syracuse. It’s a city with a rich history and vibrant culture that offers a wide array of entertainment, art museums, shopping, and restaurants. Upstate New York is famous for its beautiful summers. From the numerous Erie Canal parks that dot the east-west route of the historic canal to the gorgeous lakes and scenic state parks, there are many areas to explore the great outdoors.

If you’re interested in visiting the nearby mall, students can take a $2 Centro bus ride to Destiny USA. Students must also sign out at the residence hall main desk when leaving campus. Lyft and Uber are also available.

Department of Recreation Services

We hope that you will take advantage of the various facilities provided for you to make that effort to get-in or stay-in shape, or simply enjoy recreation with your friends.
