the general application procedures and submit an additional
confidential letter of recommendation from an instructor
familiar with your ability.
Art
& Design Applicants Only: Submit a portfolio of
five to ten photographs or slides of recent work. All

be submitted in a plastic sleeve. Applicants must include
a self-addressed, stamped envelope large enough to return
the portfolio.
Deadlines
The postmark deadline for completed applications is
May 15, 2006. Earlier applications are encouraged, because
most programs have limited enrollment. All applications

may be accepted for programs not filled. The postmark
deadline for scholarship applications is April 15, 2006.
Late applications will be considered for enrollment
but not for scholarship.
Withdrawals initiated before June 14, 2006 are entitled
to a 100% refund, with the exception of the $50 application
processing fee.
Withdrawal notifications received between June 15, 2006
and July 1, 2006 will receive a 50% refund.
Withdrawals after July 2, 2006 are not eligible for
refund.
Scholarships
A limited number of partial tuition scholarships are
available. Scholarships are awarded on a combination
of academic merit and financial need. Preference is
given to students finishing their junior year.
Scholarship Application
Procedures
1. Complete the financial aid section of the Application
for Admission
2. Enclose a copy of the first page of parent or guardian's
federal tax return for 2004.
3. Enclose, if you wish, a letter from the applicant
indicating any special factors that should be considered
in determining the need for financial assistance.
Payment Methods and
Deadlines
Applicants must pay in full on or before June 15, 2006

to complete payment well before the June 15th deadline
as some programs fill up quickly. Please note that the

within Summer College may not be taken as a guarantee
of program placement. Placement is only guaranteed after
full payment. Guaranteed placements are made in the
order in which full, final payments are received and
verified by Summer College.
Payment must be made in U.S. currency by check, money order, MasterCard, or Visa. Applicants who plan to pay with MasterCard or Visa must complete appropriate information on the application, page 31. Applicants who plan to pay by check should allow time for check clearance. All payments must be sent to Syracuse University, Summer College Program, 111 Waverly Avenue, Suite 240, Syracuse, NY 13244-2320.
