We designed the program to introduce you to college study and to the range of issues affecting professionals in the field of communications. The program's coursework includes both communications and the liberal arts, so you can develop a broad-based, realistic view of the value of education in media communications.
As a Summer College Public Communications student, you take a three-credit survey course that includes units on communication theory, the history of print and electronic mass media, public policy toward media, the economics of mass media, and the social effects of media. You'll read about, research, and analyze journalism, entertainment, sports, public relations, and advertising.
