THIS PROGRAM IS NOW CLOSED FOR SUMMER 2020.

Information Reporting & Presentation: Engage, Persuade, and Succeed will teach students how to successfully communicate in college and professionally through influential engagement, persuasive presentation, and personal branding. Students will learn how to communicate confidently, effectively, and persuasively online, in person, and in writing at college and the workplace. They will also learn how to be successful when pitching ideas, applying and interviewing for jobs, expanding their network, and improving their professional skills.

This course includes information about how to give a personal pitch; create a compelling LinkedIn profile and resume; interview online and in person; research companies and organizations; prepare for an internship; make persuasive presentations like a TED Talk; and make well-designed slide decks, compelling charts, diagrams, and infographics for modern professional presentations.

Through this online class, students will learn how to use Zoom, MS Teams, BB Collaborate, and other virtual meeting platforms to communicate and work on virtual teams!

Students in this course will receive three college credits (as IST344: Information Reporting and Presentation).
